We are pleased to share with you, that NIMHANS has started the NIMHANS Digital Academy (NDA) for the Doctors/ Nurses/ Social Workers/ Clinical Psychologists.
This digital Academy was formally inaugurated by the Honorable Union Health Minister- Government of India on 27th June-2018. This is a Government of India collaborative venture.
This program is aimed at capacity building in nursing and preparing nurses to work at the grassroot level in implementing mental health care. We are highly encouraged to get the responses from our nursing fraternity. The first batch is getting formed.

Diploma in community mental health for Social Workers is blended learning digital certificate course of three months designed to train social work professionals in mental health service delivery system. The course aims at enhancing the theoretical and practical knowledge in psychiatric social work practice in community mental health setting.
The course deals with topics that help in identifying the mental disorders, psychosocial issues associated with those disorders and psychosocial treatment procedures. Additionally, course will provide base for individual, family, couple, child, group and community based psychosocial interventions in preventive and promotive aspects.
After foundation training in Mental health, an individual or specific state workforce, can enroll into this continued, in-depth , case based/patient centric discussion on best practice management, and mentoring with the objective to create "local experts"
